MICOMM at the Mining Industry H&S Conference

MICOMM’s Communications Advisors enjoyed a productive time at the Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference in Townsville recently.

Over the course of the three day event, Kate and Jess showcased MICOMM’s services to a crowd of over 700 delegates and also attended a variety of interesting conference sessions which will help to improve our business as a whole.

Kate and Jess proudly announced Mitch Talbot, of Rio Tinto Iron Ore, as the winner of a $3000 voucher to be used on MICOMM’s extensive range of services. Congratulations Mitch!

Kate and Jess also had the opportunity to catch up with many clients, old and new, at the conference dinner (see photographs below right).

MICOMM supports Mining Industry H&S Conference

MICOMM is proud to be a sponsor of the Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference 2010, held in Townsville from 22nd-25th August.

Our Communications Advisors, Kate and Jess, will be showcasing MICOMM's services at the conference exhibition, and they're looking forward to catching up with some familiar faces throughout the course of the event. MICOMM Goes Retro for MICOMM Day!

MICOMM held its inaugural “MICOMM Day” on Thursday 12th August, with all staff stepping out in style to support our “Denim to Die For” theme.

The concept of MICOMM Day was conceived by our team to allow time for streamlining internal business processes and contributing to charitable organisations. A team building lunch is also another benefit!!

This MICOMM Day, MICOMM chose to support the Jeans for Genes appeal, and the team certainly embraced the dress up challenge. Winner of the best dressed award went to joint winners Kate and Julie.

Our team members worked hard to complete a number of important but often neglected jobs on MICOMM Day, such as updating procedures, developing housekeeping standards, sorting through and throwing away old office materials, improving our backup and archiving system, and engaging in personal development training.
